Terms of Service

These terms apply to every order placed on https://toridoriselect.com (“the Site”), operated by Kota Fukuoka (“we”, “us”), Kokota Shuei 201, 3-53-6 Koenji-Minami, Suginami-ku, Tokyo, Japan. By placing an order you agree to them. The formal disclosure required of Japanese sellers is on our Legal Notice page, which forms part of these terms.
1. What we sell
We sell new, officially licensed Japanese figures and hobby goods, sourced from Japanese makers and official retailers, and dispatched from Japan. We do not sell replicas or unlicensed reproductions.
2. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges that we received it; the contract is formed when we dispatch the goods. We may decline or cancel an order — with a full refund — if an item is out of stock, if a price or description was published in error, or if the order cannot lawfully be shipped to your destination.
3. Prices and currency
All prices on the Site are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). Shipping is added at checkout and shown before payment. Import duties and taxes charged by your country are not included and are payable by the recipient. Your card issuer may add its own currency conversion fee, which we do not receive.
4. Payment
Payment is taken in full at the time you place your order, including for pre-orders. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.
5. Pre-orders
A pre-order is for an item not yet released by its manufacturer. The release date shown on the product page is the manufacturer’s announced date and can move. We email you when a date changes, and if the new date does not suit you we will cancel the pre-order and refund you in full. We dispatch as soon as stock reaches us. If a manufacturer cancels a release outright, we refund you in full.
6. Shipping
Shipping methods, costs, handling times and customs responsibility are set out on our Shipping & Returns page. Delivery times quoted by Japan Post are estimates and are not guaranteed.
7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Set out in full on the Shipping & Returns page. In summary: faulty, damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 7 days of delivery and are replaced or refunded at our cost; a change-of-mind return is considered case by case, for unopened items, with return postage paid by the customer.
8. Product photographs and descriptions
Product images are supplied by the manufacturer and may show a prototype or a painted sample. Minor differences in the finished product, and small variations between individual factory-produced items, are normal and are not defects. Sizes are the manufacturer’s stated figures.
9. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account password confidential and for the accuracy of the delivery address you give us. We cannot redirect a parcel once it has been dispatched.
10. Acceptable use
Do not use the Site to place fraudulent orders, to interfere with its operation, or to copy its content for commercial use. Text, layout and photographs on the Site are the property of their respective owners; character and product names are the trademarks of their owners and are used to describe the goods we sell.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, or events outside our reasonable control.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Japan. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us will be submitted to the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page when you place your order; the date at the top shows when it last changed.
