Shipping

All orders are dispatched from our base in Tokyo, Japan. The exact shipping cost is calculated at checkout from the weight of your cart and your destination, and is shown to you before you pay.

Methods

Economy (Japan Post Air Packet) — tracked, up to 2 kg total. The lower-cost option.
Express (EMS) — faster, tracked and insured, up to 30 kg total.

Shipping within Japan. A flat US$7.00 to any address in Japan, whatever the weight. This also covers forwarding services such as Buyee, ZenMarket and Tenso, which many overseas customers use to consolidate orders.

How the cost is calculated

The weight of the items in your cart, plus 150 g of packing material, rounded up to the next Japan Post weight step. Japan Post’s published yen rate is converted to US dollars. No handling fee is added on top. You can check a price before ordering with our Shipping Calculator.

Handling time

In-stock items — dispatched within approximately 3–5 business days of payment.
Pre-order items — dispatched after the manufacturer’s release date, once stock reaches us. The expected release is stated on each product page.
An order containing both ships together once the pre-order arrives. For the in-stock items sooner, please order them separately.

Tracking

Both services include a tracking number, emailed to you at dispatch. If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of the delivery or attempted delivery date with photos of the item and its outer packaging, and we will file a claim with Japan Post and keep you updated. Tracking can sit still for a while without anything being wrong, especially while a parcel is with customs.

Payment and pre-orders

Prices on this site are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). Your bank or card issuer may add its own currency conversion fee, which we do not receive.

Payment is taken in full when the order is placed, including for pre-orders.

Please enter your full name and complete address in English. A mismatch between the name or address you enter and your card’s billing details can delay an order.

A pre-order release date is the manufacturer’s announced date and can move. We email you when one changes, and if the new date does not suit you we will cancel the pre-order and refund you in full. Otherwise we dispatch as soon as stock reaches us. If a manufacturer cancels a release, we refund you in full.

Customs, inspection and packing

Customs and taxes. Import duties, VAT and brokerage fees charged by your country are the recipient’s responsibility and are not included in what you pay us. We declare the true contents and value; we cannot mark a parcel as a gift or under-declare it.

Sourcing. Every item is new and officially licensed, bought from Japanese makers and official retailers. We do not sell replicas.

Packing. Items are checked before dispatch and packed with protective material inside an outer box. Figures are sent in their factory packaging.

Product photographs. Manufacturer images may show a prototype or a painted sample. Small differences in the finished product, and slight variation between individual items, are normal.

Cancellations

Orders are prepared quickly, so cancellation after an order is placed is generally not possible. If you need to cancel, contact us as soon as you can — before dispatch we will do what we can. Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled.

Returns and refunds

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items. Contact support@toridoriselect.com within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and its outer packaging. We will replace it or refund you, and we cover the return shipping.

Change of mind. Considered case by case. The item must be unopened and in its original packaging, and the return postage is paid by the customer. An opened figure cannot be resold, so we cannot take those back. Please write to us before sending anything.

Undeliverable parcels. If a parcel comes back to us because of an incorrect address or a refused delivery, we can reship it (new postage payable) or refund the item total minus the original shipping cost.

Refunds go back to the original payment method once the return has been received and checked.
